Trader Joe's with Cal.

Friday is Calvins day off from his new school.
We had a great day and he got a sunny sucker for finding Powell the Owl at Trader Joe's!

Ike's art.

Huevos Rancheros and missing Dan.

The boys have a newfound love of Huevos Rancheros! It inspired them to help me make dinner on Thursday. And apparently Puddle is on his way to cat Narnia. And Penny missing Dan.

The Battle of Puddle and Penny.

We had Liam over for hotdogs and s'mores over the fire pit on Tuesday.

Penny... and Calvin!

Ike got a haircut last weekend.

Art night!

Calvin's been hanging out in our neighbor's Japanese maple. And he learned to ride a bike! He totally skipped the training wheel step and now I can't catch him! Ike and his art at art night. Titled, "Caterpillar on a Drum."

Penny's play date.

Penny playing in the garden with her friend Mac this morning. They're the same size and the same age, he's like her brother from another mother. After playing for hours she was exhausted. The boys running back home from dinner in the rain and Penny in the bathtub. She needed a bath after all that rolling in the dirt today!

Spring like Summer.

It was really warm earlier this week. Calvin thoroughly enjoyed the sprinkler. And the guys put together our new Adirondack chairs for the porch.

Surfers and sled dogs

There was a lookout you could climb as well as the rocks and you could see a few patient surfers out there.
Ike loved the rock hopping.
There was also a sled dog gathering in town. They paraded down the waterfront and then took to the sand!

Climbin' on the big rocks.

Cozy cabin.

That bunk house was 20 times cozier after being out on the windy beach. A tv with Charlie and the chocolate factory on it made for some pretty content kids--and parents. Being reminded of the bedding situation of Charlie's family really made us appreciate our ample supply of bunks!

Penny's first beach and wind blown boys.

Westport beach was beautiful but windy and pretty cold.
Ike examining one of the many strange indigo invertebrates that were washed up on shore. Penny thoroughly enjoying wind and the beach and finding a shell. The boys doing pretty much the same.
